Santoor Concert
The concert santoor is a modern music instrument, however, with the traditional tone scale (the treble bridge is in the octave) and tunable to various modal scales, but with the deep bass approaching the contra octave. Pedal muting, if desired also with electronic sound pickup system.
The various different modal scales may be arranged to over four octaves.
- four-string chorus, two-string chorus in the bass range
- treble bridge at the octave ratio 1:2
- brass and wrapped strings for the bass, steel strings over the treble bridge
